Cytotoxic effects and antioxidant activity of sage plant (Abrus precatorius L.) were studied by Brine
Shrimp Lethality Test and 1,1-diphenyl-2-pikrilhidrazil.
Saga leaves extracted with different solvents such as nheksan, ethyl acetate and methanol. The test results showed that methanol extract has a potential cytotoxic
against shrimp larvae with LC50 value of 606.736 ppm. While the antioxidant activity of all extracts are inactive.
Chemical Compound Gynecology, ToxinTest (Brine Shrimp Lethality Test) and antioxidants (1,1-Diphenyl-2-
Pikrilhydrazyl) from Saga Leaf Extract (Abrus precatorius L.). Cytotoxicity effects and antioxidant activities of sage (Abrus precatorius L.) extract Were studied by using Brine Shrimp Lethality Test and 1-diphenyl-2-pikrilhydrazyl
assays.
Saga was extracted with solvents Different ie n-hexane, ethyl acetate and methanol. That result showed the methanolic extract of sage Had been a potential to be cytotoxic Against Brine Shrimp with LC50 value of 606 736 ppm.
However, all the extract of the saga did not have antioxidant activities.
